Sweet Toronto/Keep On Rockin' (1969)
In 1969 John Lennon and wife Yoko Ono started a campaign for peace run much like any other advertising campaign. Among their persuasive gimmicks were press conferences, print ads, and of course, their two famous "Bed-Ins" in Amsterdam and Toronto. This film is a document of the Toronto bed in with guests including: Timothy Leary, Murray The K, and Tommy Smothers. Songs included: "Give Peace A Chance", "Instant Karma!" and "Because".
John & Yoko: The Bed-In (1969)
Arguably the only Beatle to continue making brilliant music after the breakup of that pioneering band, John Lennon and his controversial wife, Yoko One, recorded the masterpiece IMAGINE in 1971. While writing and recording the album in the private studio of their Ascot, England mansion, the couple made sure to film the process. GIMME SOME TRUTH consists of this personal, candid footage which captures not only the works of a songwriting genius, but also gives insight into the highly enigmatic relationship between Lennon and the woman cruelly credited with breaking of the Beatles, Yoko Ono.
Gimme Some Truth - The Making of Imagine (1971)
Originally produced for television, this 1972 program includes both the ten tracks from the "Imagine" album, as well as two tracks by Yoko Ono: "Mrs. Lennon" and "Don't Count the Waves." The songs are accompanied by original films starring John and Yoko and filmed in New York, London, and Tokyo.
Imagine (1972)
Lennon and Ono took over the Mike Douglas for one week. This tape of Day 1 features John and Yoko and their guests Ralph Nader, Louis Nye and The Chambers Brothers (who graciously perform "This Little Piece of Land" and "By the Hair of My Chinny Chin Chin").
